Aint these watercolour illustrations simply inspiring? They are from Harvest Textiles. Too lovely i just want to get my hands on them. And touch it and see it in real life. Seriously i would love to go see their studio and attend her watercolour class!! So inspiring. Makes me want to get started on watercolour illustration right now. I have done it before, but definitely not as good as these.

I know i havent update this space in a long time, i also saved pictures for the April Inspiration already but just havent got to post it up. It's going to be a very busy holiday this time round, need to prepare a damn good portfolio. And i mean, DAMN GOOD.

Spring is here! (which means, more wearable clothes to be sold in stores since we dont have winter here) Have been seeing a lot of flowers and plants in my blog surfing time. Really, really nice comforting homes over at emmas. Sometimes, on a sunday afternoon, i just want to lie in that couch and do nothing. I got to know about this book by Ikea called Homemade is Best (it has a swedish title though, the english is just the translation of it) when i came across it on one of the blogs i read that i cant remember which. But recently, because of my project i'm doing on, i recalled the idea of this book and went to google it. Who knew, creativereview posted about it with more photos that i have not seen, and gave us a link to the original design agency that did this book! So, it's time to feast our eyes on this wonderful wonderful book that has amazing food styling (now im thinking being a food stylist is too cool) and beautiful colours.

A proper blog post for the new year

Chinese new year is finally here. I have waited so long for this day to come. Mainly because both my classes were cancelled on Wednesday, which is also the eve of CNY, reunion dinner. Thursday and Friday, the first two days of CNY, are off days for the whole of Singapore. Then Saturday and Sunday are weekends, as per normal off days. Then the very much dreaded Monday, which is coming in a wink of an eye.

Well, for the past month, which i havent blogged much, i have been rushing my publication design. In between, i finished watch the korean variety show on adam couple hahahaha (all because of keping) i couldnt stop. Then some english shows that are finally back from winter break. Started watching a new show the walking dead. Season one was only six episodes hahaha.

Oh yes, i am quite happy with my publication design (which i did a children's activity book on tea, that doesnt look much like a children's book). I wished i had put more time into it so it can become even better. But submission on this past tuesday was so, how should i put it. I just wanted to sit and rest for awhile. Which i did. In class after submission. That sunday and monday was hectic hectic hectic. Free starbucks made my day though hahaha.

OH DID I MENTION, i went to laneway. Went in the afternoon with Liza, caught ladyhawke and beachhouse (missed warpaint ): ) Beach house was surprisingly good. Really good. Then went off back home, changed, to ilyas's sister wedding where i sat for about half an hour hahaha, then some of us went to novena starbucks, bridge for awhile. Then, went to see the temper trap (totally missed foals ): ) with shiying. Took NR1 back home with muddy shoes and muddy legs. hahahaha good times.

This weekend i just wanted to stay home on a quiet night, with lots of imaginary pillows on my imaginary couch (if only i had one) and read a book or listen to some good music. Of course, this didnt happen. I have work to do for school on Monday.

Went to the IR at sentosa yesterday for the flowers exhibition. Too crowded. Rained for awhile. We also stopped at this little cafe for some snacks. Reasonable price but food is not the best.

So i'm going to queue some posts to post for the next few days. Feb inspiration to come. A blog i discovered, amazing. Etc.

This is too long a post.

Very nice outfits recently on VanessaJackman. She is awesome. Casual laidback style is the way to go. Went to town today, bought new clothes again. And, a pair of boots. They were all on sale! I was trying my best not to get clothes but they were on sale! I mean, whats my loss yes? Anyways, this is going to be an intense intense two weeks ahead. I am worried, yet excited! What can i say, nothing beats doing what i love to do. Even if you get rejected sometimes, at least i love what im doing.

Here's to a good week ahead! Friday here i come! (i think new skins this week, pretty awesome. Cant wait for the new cast.)

Red pants look so good dont they? I've ended up getting two pairs of red pants from zara for Chinese new year, which i am very much looking forward to, love long weekends. Am having a lot of work from school on hand. Ive done more research than i have ever done for any other modules. I now have 5 library books at home, which is nothing compared to a friend's twenty books borrowed, which is maxed out.

Although im taking two quite interesting modules. One, multimedia fundamentals, learning dreamweaver and flash, making our own websites. Two, publication design where we are supposed to make a book/publication including 40 pages and 5000 words in total. I dont know how am i going to finish it in two weeks, including printing and production. We shall take one step at a time.

Ive also watched the september issue featuring Anna Wintour, it's like a documentary? Very inspiring.

It was a good night spent with the lovely people in the last night of 2010. We spent the night hiding from spray cans, shopping at a supermarket, having ramen for dinner, trying to be detectives solving a riddle, realising we (vanessa and i) were not quite a good detective, playing bridge at starbucks, counting down, trying to guess who's our partner, losing and winning, getting quieter as the night goes hahaha.

I was looking very much forward to 2011, not so much now cause school starts tmr. So anyways, Happy new year!

Sidenote: I was so excited when the pamelalove inspired cuff and ring finally arrived from asos! The real thing costs thousands of dollars and this is only less than half a hundred which is so awesome! Pamela Love is one of the coolest jewllery designer in the world if you must/havent know! Her vision is very very interesting.

Sidenote 2: Pretty little liars (finally) and himym (also finally) returns this monday!!

My holidays have officially started, i'm too excited. Although it's only a short two weeks, it is really better than none. And it's Christmas! Feel the air around you! I have to say, the Christmas songs playing in the shopping centres/stores are not loud enough, it's barely there, it has got to be like, you know, Disneyland. Classic songs blasting every where.

So i have finally finished both my submissions for this block, printed yesterday night. Rushed through the whole midnight/morning. Slept at 6am but it was all worth it. I guess. Three hours of sleep felt good. Couldnt wake up after. Quite broke for the week, and honestly although all of us rushed submission every single block (lose sleep, no time to eat, no time to sleep, no time to take bus, no time to print etc) i still love/enjoy what i'm doing.

Breakfast at Kith with shiying and keping. This was quite some time ago. Then we walked over to great world city, my first time there hahahahaha. Saw this store selling kids stuff, beautiful colours. i love colour.

Last night, or this early morning, i have been rushing my flash assignment. It isnt as good as i've expected it to be. I had ideas in my head but i couldnt make them, the end product is just me trying to finish something so i have something to present later, which is not good. That isnt the purpose of design, is it?

Anyways, i just came back from hongkong recently, awesome place with awesome food. THe weather was fine, hot and cold at different times of the day. The people there were quite nice but some of them are just really unwelcoming (note: shop owners when asked about price). Oh well, Taipei still has the nicest people i've ever met hahaha. As in the whole city (i dont know about other cities) is full of nice people.

Alright, time to rush for school. Btw, this year is not a good year for me, i cant wait to go to 2011. But then again, i dont want to grow old so fast, youth is something you'll never get back.

The flaming lips concert on the 11th of November with Liza was the best concert i've ever been to, and will probably ever be. (Granted i've only been to three concerts hahaha) But if you see in the pictures, how can it not be the best right? The raveonettes opened the show with a full set, whole concert took 4 hours! Was so tired drained and thirsty by the end of it.

I have a new favourite song now, do you realize by the flaming lips. Go have a listen at the lyrics :) I've also never seen so much confetti in my entire life. I think all concerts need confetti to be epic. hahahaha it's true alright. Looking up at all the confetti coming down all around you is one of the best feeling in the world, to me at least.

And this was only the beginning of it all.

The day Grace and i finished an entire regular pizza all by myself. All i can say is cold pizza is not a good pizza. As we kept eating and eating, with the lack of entertainment (himym), and we kept talking about the greatest moments in himym, the last two pieces got colder and colder but we still did it. hahaha

Time for dinner soon. I have an expanding to do list that keeps expanding.

I've been having really nice dreams recently, if only some of them become reality. Too bad it never works like that. Spent my day under the sheets, unwilling to climb out of bed. I'm pretty sure my sleep cycle has changed. I cant sleep unless it's three am.

Then brunch with Grace, she came over we watched himym bloopers, so freaking awesome. Then we hanged around a bit had dinner at my home went j8 for awhile, many familiar faces.

I kind of wish this friday's plan will turn out good i just really miss those days. Haha, and sitting around doing nothing.

All pictures taken during lunch while last two was our some sort of dinner. Met up with the four of them finally, we went to check out this pretty cool place at Albert's court. This restaurant is called Kichn. Lovely lovely place. We were so full, almost too full. Sent Amanda to the train station and we headed off to wherever pops up in our mind. Almost went to a flea and also take some neoprints hahahaha those were the days but yeah, we'll do that another time with Amanda present.

So we ended up at serangoon gardens had our ice cream at ice3. Place changed a little. Btw the last sencond picture, with four polaroids? Top two were taken when we first went there. Bottom two was taken yesterday.

It was an awesome day, great company. I dont know what i'll do if i dont have them in my life (sounds real cliche but yes it's true.) I mean, the texts at the end of the night. Haha, a really awesome day indeed.

I'm finally coming round to update this space. My holidays have finally finally started this week, Monday was final submission day and that was it. On tuesday i went back to school to run some errands, then went fancypaper got myself lots of colourful paper. Then met some mates after their l4d2 session and we had dinner plus spotlight and daiso.

Tmr's L4D2 session with them then chinatown to source some things and we are going d.i.y things to sell. Awesome. I already have my own personal diy projects to embark on, found a few pretty awesome diy tutorials.

Btw, just for everyone's information, himym new episode is out. Gossip girl was out last week. Glee is out today (well sort of cause you need to consider the time difference with USA). Vampire diaries out lastlast week. True blood ended (sadly). So, isnt this like aweeessoomme!

I havent had the time to update this little space. Too busy to hang out at websites and post interesting stuffs. But anyhow, here's a short update.

Actually i can only remember yesterday. Met up with the awesome people, we havent met up for too long. It was a short and nice meet up though, catching up and all. Had tau huey at balestier then went over to mon's house a little while, had our whispering session while her house is filled with people sleeping.

OH OH OH I received an amazing, absolutely amazing birthday gift from SY! hahaha, it was awesome. Might post up pictures of it while i take it hahaha

Other than these, ive been working during my weekends, not good. i dont have time to do my work at all, i dont think i will be able to sleep on sunday night. Wish me luck.

OMG Zara is going to release magazines! Looking forward! Dont know if it's online or print, im guessing online. And btw, their online store is up alr. Awesome stuffs.

I guess, witchery and witches are going to be talk of town in the coming months. True blood season 4 is going to be touching on witchery soon. (Yes, true blood season 3's finale is next next week, how fast right? RIGHT?) Then there's the shoot i posted a while back on LF Fall 10. And now, there's this video shoot, it's pretty amazing. (And partly because we in Singapore dont have such amazing places to go hunt and shoot.)

What happened this week?

I still havent got my VW tickets, might have found someone to go with.

Jams for lunch on electric thursday and acoustic friday was pretty awesome. For those who dont know, it's pretty much gig performances by our own people in the canteen during, well, lunch. And no it's not a weekly thing, just this week.

I am about to buy things from online stores, which means less savings, means more money to be spent cause i still need to buy VW tickets.

Then on thursday i got a call from my ex boss, am going to work this weekend and the next long weekend. Money money money.

Thursday night checked my email, I won the mooncake competition along with two other girls (my school sent in 7 entries). Thing is, i have no idea what i won or what position i got but im just really happy i did even though i cant stop thinking about what others will think when they compare my design to the rest of the winning entries hahaha. Thursday night was pretty much awesome for me. (for a second, i doubted i won.) This is the first and only design competition i have won, i wasnt jumping for joy, i was maybe flying to the moon.

So im gonna head off to work now, anybody wants to get an hour lunch together? Hahahaha And advertising is already starting to kill me. Pretty much because it's pair work currently and im working means lesser time for assignment. I cant work on my own speed since it's pair work so im gonna have to struggle with both things at the same time.

I need to go type a thank you mail, right now. (just watched eclipse, mostly it was awful but the really good looking actors and actresses makes it less awful)

School's been fine, started a new module - advertising. It's going to be one stressful block/month. I just hope things will work out fine. I havent got my tickets to vw concert yet. Need to go buy before it runs out. Im forseeing a really busy month ahead, only thing im looking forward to is the holidays.

Hi, i havent been in the internet world reading my favourite daily blogs since a few days back, which sucks. I finally finally submitted my mooncake packaging design today. So i've spent at least a hundred bucks this week, not good. In the meantime, vampire weekend tickets has gone on sale and i went to check the sistic website, i have no idea why is it alr sold out. Either it's true or there's an error and i would really really like to believe the latter. Still cant find somebody to go to the concert with me, hahaha though i know a few people who's going though.

This mooncake design competition has taken a toll on us, and our holiday. But it's okay, i really learnt a lot. I've learnt what i can't learn in just one module. We need time to practise and get familiar with things and seeing our final product really puts a smile on our faces and warms our heart. No, seriously. The pride, and all.

Other people will never understand how difficult and hard our course/polylife is. You in JC? Good for you, im in poly and i tell you might think that we are slack and all, i will firmly and strongly tell you you are wrong. But you will probably not belive me anyway, so i'll always keep quiet even if you talk about it, no point drilling sense into whoever who's comparing these things (a lot of people does this) when you dont listen. Good thing is, you can read this, and you cant debate about it with me. So i have the final say :)

Seriously spent so much on materials/printing/cab fares. Yes, cab fares is unavoidable, sadly. One of my friend didnt sleep last night, up till now she hasnt completed everything yet, mostly done but still lack one part. She's submitting on Mon. Anyways, i have been sleeping little and doing a whole lot of work, my mock up as in like the actual piece i did for the mooncake box took me at least 10 hours to cut and paste. (You may think you just cut and paste but we are mostly perfectionist, no argues here. ) Oh, broke my record, left school at 1AM on thursday night. But it was a really super productive day. Love doing work in school, big tables.

My final submission is not perfect though, oh well. I tried my best. Happy with it so i'm fine, will post pictures next week i guess. We had studio shots for it.

Meanwhile it's friday, this is a little thing that went by this evening in school. Our lecturer said this. Boys and girls it's friday nights and you guys are still here doing this, quick finish it.

Im really amazed by how much time and effort we put into this, and almost everything else we do. Proud of us. This is too long a post. Abrupt end.

I'm afraid there wont be enough time. But oh well. One step at a time. Im never good at planning my time cause sleep just always seems to be the best choice.

Met up with Siqi on a tuesday noon. It was an awesome day spent. We havent been able to meet much due to our school schedule even though we are both in TP hahaha anyway we finally got to meet up. We went to Chinatown cause i've been wanting to check out the little drom store for so long. We dropped by booksactually first.

As we walked around Ann Siang Hill trying to find the little drom store, we found books in the woods. Which is another awesome shop where photography is not allowed in their exhibition area. I managed to take one shot before finding out from SIqi i wasnt allowed to. It's the photo above this, left. They are more about children picture books, and i forgot to buy their wrapping paper.

So we went to the little drom store and shared a slice of cake at K.ki cafe. The cafe and the shop are together. I really love the rings from the store but they were out of my budget. Oh well.

We then trained back to Somerset (after coinflipping on my iphone, deciding between somerset then walk or Orchard) The coin said Somerset and off we went. I wanted to check out Once upon a milkshake. They sell homemade ice cream and milkshakes. The milkshake was too sweet for us though, am gonna get the ice cream next time i go there. It started raining really heavily.

We saw a lot of athletes. They were taking photographs and all. The downpour was so sudden. After the rain became a very light drizzle, we crossed the street to Taka and went to kino. After a while, we went back home.

I rested a while and went back to j8 to meet my Mum. We watched Salt. It was awesome. Amazing storyline too. It's like you think this is the climax, wait till the next scene. Surprises and thrills. And AngelinaJolie is awesome too.

Need to researcha nd start on my mooncake packaging design. Dread it though.

Friday afternoon: Met up with Regina for starbucks because we were craving for it during our rush for submission and had no time to stop for a cup of coffee. So white chocolate mocha all the way! Oh yeah, got both my free copy of juice and catalog this month. hahaha so we walked around marina square citylink cityhall esplanade etc. And i really mean, around.

Friday night: then i met mum for dinner. We went to this lamian place, the lamian is super super good. It's at Parco Millenia Walk. The soup's too salty for me though, but it smells really good.

It's sunday it's sunday. Btw, anyone else thought the yog performance was like national day performance? i only watched the first half so yeah. Some of the songs they picked were truly a bad choice considering how much they want to show our racial harmony but they just threw everything together. Alright, enough talking about it already hahaha

Today i found a new website with a number of twelve mixtapes already out. Imma download the latest one first. Oh, they have awesome cover art. hahaha Visit grizzlybearmodern for them now. Um i realised, their mixtapes are all compiled into one mp3. Oh well, you have to listen to the whole album in one mp3 file.

Murmure has pretty good mixtapes. Sometimes they share a whole album too, there was Mumford and Sons, and also Vampire Weekend latest album. Speaking of Vampire weekend, they are coming to SINGAPOREEEEE!!!! Are you excited?!!! Cause i am. I cant wait, i need to find somebody to go with me though. But, it's vampire weekend for goodness sake, how can anybody not see them live.

Onepintplease is a online store based in Singapore. Other than selling apparels, they do have mixtapes available for everyone to download too. My first mixtapes were from them. Not bad mixtapes.

Oh yeah, sidenote, did you know you can make your own custom ringtone from songs you like for your iphone? Go search for the tutorial on youtube. :)

Btw, my holidays have finally started! Submission was yesterday, so glad it's over now. Going back to school next week to do i think a mooncake packaging competition. Wasnt going to go, but i'll see how it goes, cause that would mean more than half of my holidays (only two weeks) will be gone. And i might be working at expo for the whole of my hol, dont know yet.

A page of my schedulebook/sketchbook. I draw on the bus when i have so many thoughts, or anywhere else actually. One hour bus rides are normally, really, boring. Have been coming up with ideas for stamps. I used to collect stamps, my dad has a whole lot. they used to have this hobby of exchanging stamps when they were kids, or maybe like as a bet. Which is so cool. Why dont we have this hobby anymore? The digital age aint that great, it kills certain hobbies. Granted you can do a lot more with the digital stuffs, but look what the current generation do as a hobby, playing maplestory? Damn, we are getting boring and losing our tradition. At least, i used to collect stickers when i was young, i'll always exchange stickers with this girl from this block (i shall name) and stay on level three. We used to do that every night at the playground, that was good childhood memories. Now now, where are my sticker bookkssssss? That many "s" is necessary hahaha.

I finally got to chat a little with mel yesterday, not a lot but nice catch up. I totally forgot we used to write letters! I miss that too. I like writing letters though i dont know what to write.

Went to Ikea yesterday with Grace yesterday after school, we have been deciding matters over the coin flip app on iphone. So we went there for dinner and bought some stuffs. We actually went furniture shopping. She bought stools and floor lamp. I bought some storage boxes. Totally forgot to take a little pictures with the phone app. Oh how can one not go home with ikea pencils hahaha

Lost Girls by Tilly and the wall

Life has been okay. Nothing real exciting, nothing too boring. Well, watching himym every day makes life a thousand times better, or should i say, awesome? Dont know if i've said this here before but what i have learnt from this relief lecturer (a very good illustration lecturer took over cause actual lecturer was on MC) in one day was more than what my actual lecturer taught in one week. Basically, he taught us nothing. The best part is we are getting the same lecturer for the next module too.

Anyway i attempted very detailed vectoring yesterday and i was very happy with the result, might post it up one day. I did a vector of Zooey Deschanel. Things got ugly after i added M Ward, the male part of She and Him. Oh well, i think cause the two different pictures had two different lightings, makes the collage awkward a little.

Havent took pictures recently basically because i havent gone out a lot this weekend. Watched Despicable Me with my aunt on Sunday night and that was the only part i went out last weekend. I guess the It's so fluffy im gonna die is very very overrated, didnt find it funny when i first heard it in the film.

I need to watch Inception online again to get some matters straight hahaha Have a good wednesday! Im going to school in a while, starts at three.

First set of photos: Toast box w mum. I think it was like, high tea. Their little slices of cake are cheap and not bad. Love the peanut butter one.

Second set of photos: Kenny Rogers on Thursday night with my mum before watching inception. They have amazing looking lights made of bottles, kind of.

Third set of photos: Italia Gelato outside shaw with Grace on Friday night. It is highly recommended by my italian lecturer. Yes we asked her whats the best in Singapore (italian food/gelato)

Some little updates with photos. All pictures taken with my iphone app. So i watched inception this week, it was awesome. Awesome's pretty much over used by me but it is awesome. You cant even wink you have to stay focused throughout the whole show. And needless to say, Joseph Gordon Levitt is as always, awesome!

Went to town with Grace yesterday after our class. We didnt buy anything we just spend all our money on food. Or at least, i did. My savings, was so much this week until yesterday night. Oh well. I have been spending so much money so quickly it's overwhelming me.

Photos from my sunday night, with Grace. I had a peach yoghurt, was craving for it. Marks and Spencer goodies, bought more yesterday. My dad's friend prawns w salted egg, best in the world. I just really felt like eating non stop on sunday, and i did.

Today marks the start of a new block. Quite excited but the timing isnt really good. Oh well, let's hope we dont have sleepless nights.

I went out with my mum yesterday. I finally bought a new pair of shoes. My ittiandotto brown boots are so grey im really quite upset about it and the thing is i cant wash it cause it's suede material. My grey canvas's sole is thinning and thinning like i can feel the ground as i walk. So really, my chucks have been in action lately. Conclusion: Im glad i bought a pair of new shoes, although they are yet again, unwashable because of the material hahaha

Sometimes, i have so much thoughts in my head, it consumes me. I just feel like writing every thing thats on my mind somewhere, in a book or something. but it never feels safe. And so, my thoughts continues to overpower me.

Anyway yesterday my relatives came over, cause it was my grandmother's death aniversary. It was a nice day, apparently three people won 4d. And we had lots of food.

Met up with Grace today, around evening. I ate a lot. All i spent on was on food, will post pictures probably tmr hahaa. Came home and watched himym. It's pretty awesome, like, wait for it. Wait for it... LEGENDARY

I love neil patrick harris. So i have no plans for tmr and i dont have school tmr. I dont wish to talk about my timetable this block. i think i really want to work, nice to have some money right?

I struggled with changing the blog layout. Those days were far behind me, days when i used to change my blog layout every week. hahaha now, it's just difficult. I feel old. Im not so sure about this layout though, and the cbox thing is so ancient dont you think? I just didnt want to use formspring.

Anyway above picture features esther regina and me. Look at our height differences. My shoes had a bit of a height though. And the evil evil bunny that we shot for studiolight and we shot the silhouette for six days and we still failed to get the correct one.

I'll be off to school soon. I would blog with pictures but i cant find my CF card. I just did some back up for my laptop, how lovely is that? Cause there's just too many raw files from my studio lighting class, im afraid my laptop will crash any time soon. Now i feel safer, by a little.

I met up with Shiying last saturday. We went to the flea by flashlightbatteries and bought a little bit of things. Btw, i spent so much that saturday. So it was super crowded, super crazy, super hot. Saw quite a number of familiar faces. Then we went to walk around town and buy stuffs we like, ate stuff i like hahahaha.

Sunday early early morning, went to shoot at a temple with my uncle and his two friends. All three of us kind of learning photography from my uncle. Anyway, i shot all in film, so i've got to finish my current roll before i can develop it. Shot a total of one and a half roll. Fun fun fun

Time to go. Night class tonight, really sucks.

So today i woke up at 7 to do my elearning which is writing a story and i was doing it halfway and i realised i misread it, it was 9pm not 9am. So i went back to sleep and woke up at three. Had my breakfast at three thirty. Life is awesome like that. No school today.

So my brother came home from school and we were going to head down to j8 so i can go to the bank, showered and checked online the bank opening hours. Closes at 430. So, hopes are dashed. Spent the whole day listening to new albums, fiest / angus and julia stone / jayz.

Also, i blogged a lot today. I am too excited for tmr. Meeting SY after so long, and we'll be going places. Too excited. Im craving for small cakes and jap food and sushi.
